Immaculata Women's Soccer Falls To Gwynedd-Mercy, 2-0

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata's women's soccer squad was unable to overcome two first-half goals, as the Mighty Macs fell to the Griffins of Gwynedd-Mercy, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

Immaculata slips to 5-5-3 overall and 2-2-1 in the CSAC while Gwynedd-Mercy improved to 7-6 overall, 5-1 in the league.

The Griffins' Gwen Conte set up both of their goals, the first to Kirstyn Varas in the 19th minute, and the second to Meghan Bojanowski three minutes before halftime.

Gwynedd-Mercy outshot Immaculata, 9-4, and held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Zena Tracey led the Mighty Macs, taking three of their four shots. IU goalkeeper Jessica Gaburo made three saves in the loss.

Immaculata hosts Keystone on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.
