MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Immaculata volleyball team went undefeated on the afternoon, earning 3-1 victories against both Penn State Harrisburg and Penn State Berks on Saturday. The Mighty Macs were forced to rally back in both matches after falling in the first set.
The Mighty Macs began the day downing PSU Harrisburg by game scores of 14-25, 25-19, 31-29 and 26-24, and then defeated PSU Berks with scores of 20-25, 25-13, 25-18 and 25-22. Immaculata had fallen to PSU Berks, 3-2, just a week ago at home.
In the match against PSU Harrisburg, Immaculata had two players register double-doubles. Jayme Lenosky led the Mighty Macs' attack with 14 kills and added 11 digs, Terri Reynolds amassed 12 kills and 14 digs. Kathleen Haefner set up the offense with 35 assists and had four service aces.
Nicole Preziuso added nine kills and 14 digs, and Alexis Erazo amassed 12 digs for Immaculata. PSU Harrisburg was led by Ashley Huth's 16 kills and 11 digs.
Then against PSU Berks, Lenosky led the Mighty Macs in both kills and digs, recording her second double-double performance of the day with 14 kills and 15 digs. Reynolds added seven kills and 11 digs while Preziuso had six kills and 13 digs. Haefner registered 27 assists during the match.
Immaculata (4-6) returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 30, when it travels to Neumann. First serve is set for 7:30 p.m.
