DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Michael Moore scored two goals and Gio DeMartini had three assists to lead Immaculata University to a 3-1 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon.
The win improved the Mighty Macs to 3-3-2, and the Aggies fell to 1-4-1.
Delaware Valley took a 1-0 advantage just 10:56 into the contest as Eric Maciag took a feed from Matt Weiler and deposited it for a goal. However, Moore tied things up just 1:50 later and it remained a 1-1 contest into the intermission.
Immaculata took the lead for good with 22:52 remaining as DeMartini set up Blake Cain for his second goal of the season. Moore then gave his team some breathing room with 11:11 to go as he headed in a cross from DeMartini.
The Mighty Macs held a 17-9 advantage in shots. Zach Oas notched four saves in the victory while Tristan Preece and Steve Richtmyer combined for six saves for the Aggies.
Immaculata hosts Ursinus on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.
