Men's Soccer Suffers 3-1 Setback To Goucher

TOWSON, Md.
- The Immaculata University men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 setback to Goucher College in the season opener for both programs in the first game of the Goucher Classic.

Immaculata (0-1) held the lead at halftime as Chris Conlan scored for the Mighty Macs in the 38th minute off an assist from Bryan Foster

Goucher (1-0) tied the game at 56:10 when Julien Greco found the back of the net. The Gophers scored the go-ahead goal in the 73rd minute when Andrew Bull got one past Mighty Macs' goalkeeper Zach Oas. Goucher's final tally came off a Tim McMullen penalty kick at the 87:40 mark.

Oas recorded three saves on the afternoon, while Gopher keeper Justin Holbrook was forced to make six stops.

Immaculata continues action at the Goucher Classic tomorrow, Aug. 31, at 3:30 p.m. when it takes on Lebanon Valley.
