READING, Pa. – Brett Bickhardt and Michael Pancoast managed a win at No. 3 doubles for Immaculata University's men's tennis squad. However, the Mighty Macs fell on the road to Albright College by a score of 8-1.
Bickhardt and Pancoast downed Jonathan Hong and Jason Lefkoe, 8-5, at No. 3 doubles to capture the point for the Mighty Macs.
Dave Harlan, playing his first match of the season at the No. 1 singles position, forced his first set into a tie-breaker. He lost the tie-breaker 7-2, and eventually fell to David Scherler, 7-6 (7-2), 6-0. Bobby DeYoung, at the No. 2 position, dropped his match to Yoshi Otsuka, 6-3, 6-3.
Cordell Fantroy fell 6-3, 6-1 to Kevin Gauby, and Bickhardt dropped his match, 6-3, 6-4, at the No. 3 and 4 singles positions, respectively. Andre Brooks dropped his No. 5 singles match, 6-1, 6-0, while Pancoast fell to Hong at the No. 6 spot, 10-5.
Immaculata will be at Neumann on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match against the Knights.
