Immaculata Falls In CSAC Tournament

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- Immaculata's volleyball team fell to Baptist Bible on Tuesday night, 3-1, in the first round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) tournament. Baptist Bible took the match in four sets, 20-25, 25-12, 25-19, 25-22.

The Mighty Macs (11-12) won the first set by five points, but struggled in the second set, evened the playing field at 1-1 for the Lady Defenders.

Baptist Bible (12-18) went on to claim the next two sets for the match, even though Immaculata put up a fight in the four set, as the Lady Defenders narrowly won 25-22.

All-CSAC Second Team selection Jayme Lenosky led the Mighty Macs with 10 kills and added six digs. Terri Reynolds ended with night with six kills and six digs. Nicole Preziuso led the team with 22 digs, while Kathleen Haefner contributed 20 assists. Alexis Erazo added 18 digs, and Courtney Sahm was also in double figures with 13.

Naomi Sweeney paced the Lady Defenders with 10 kills, while Brittany Floyd registered a double-double with 24 assists and 10 digs. Marlie Kneifel and Laura Hodupp each recorded 20 digs to lead Baptist Bible. Hodupp also amassed seven kills.

Baptist Bible advances to the CSAC semifinals where it will take on No. 1 seed Neumann at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
