SCRANTON, Pa. - Marywood earned a 3-0 win over visiting Immaculata in Colonial States Athletic Conference volleyball action Tuesday night. Marywood won the match by downing Immaculata by set scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-23.
With the win, Marywood kept their post-season hopes alive and improved to 5-4 in CSAC play, 10-12 overall while the Mighty Macs slipped to 11-10 overall and 6-3 in the league.
The Mighty Macs were led by Courtney Sahm who had 12 digs and three kills. Kathleen Haefner had 15 assists, nine digs and three kills on the night. Nicole Preziuso had 10 digs and three kills, and
Jayme Lenosky tallied 10 digs, two kills and five total blocks.
The Pacers were led by Riona Corr's 29 assists on the night. Corr also chipped in seven digs in the win, as did Lizzy Green, Carly Catalano and Natasha Freethy. Taryn Borden had a team-high eight digs and had six kills.
Immaculata returns to action Thursday evening when they face Cabrini at 7 p.m. on senior night.
