Box Score

IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Mighty Macs rallied back from a 1-0 deficit at halftime, but couldn't hold off Marywood in double overtime as the Pacers defeated Immaculata, 2-1, on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Draper Walsh Stadium. Brett Megee tallied the game-winning goal for Marywood with 33 seconds left to play in the extra session.

Immaculata moves to 7-5-2 overall and 3-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, while Marywood improves to 10-5 overall and 4-2 in the CSAC.

Immaculata's Gio DeMartini tied the match at 1-1 at the 58:07 mark off a Daniel Arteglier feed from the middle of the box. Both squads had several opportunities after the Immaculata equalizer, but could not convert.

Each team took one shot in the first overtime period and Marywood had one corner kick. Immaculata had a 2-1 advantage in shots during the second overtime, but the Pacers' lone Megee shot won it as it rolled past a stretched out Zach Oas in the middle of the box off a pass from Nathan Wenger.

Wenger finished the contest with two points, as he had a hand in both goals for the Pacers, also assisting on Marywood's first goal in the 43rd minute.

A see-saw affair from the onset, the Pacers grabbed an early 1-0 lead on Anthony Kapp's goal at 42:17, and led 1-0 at halftime.

Oas made seven saves in the match for the Mighty Macs. Jared El Gayeh finished with eight saves in goal for the Pacers to earn the win.

Immaculata returns to action on Monday, Oct. 20. The Mighty Macs will host Richard Stockton for a 4 p.m. non-league contest at Draper Walsh Stadium.
