Volleyball Keeps Rolling, Defeats Baptist Bible 3-1

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata's volleyball team won its third consecutive match and fourth straight Colonial States Athletic Conference match as the Mighty Macs downed visiting Baptist Bible, 3-0, at Alumnae Hall on Thursday night. The Mighty Macs earned the victory with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 16-25 and 25-22.

The Mighty Macs improve their record at 9-8 overall and 5-2 in the CSAC. The five league wins this season ties the most conference victories since the 2004 season when Immaculata finished with a 5-5 mark. Baptist Bible is now 7-16 overall and 3-4 in the conference.

Kathleen Haefner and Terri Reynolds both recorded double-doubles for the Mighty Macs. Haefner tallied her double-double with 31 assists and 16 digs, while Reynolds accomplished the feat with a career-high 18 kills and 11 digs.

Overall, Immaculata had six players in double figures in the digs category. Alexis Erazo tallied a match-high 23 digs. Jayme Lenosky made her presence felt all over the court, amassing 20 digs, eight kills and three blocks. Nicole Preziuso had nine kills to go along with her 17 digs while Courtney Sahm also recorded 17 digs.

The Lady Defenders also had two players record double-doubles during the match. Brittany Floyd amassed 28 assists and a team-best 21 digs. Laura Hodupp led Baptist Bible with 10 kills and added 18 digs in the effort. Marlie Kneifel posted six service aces, 12 digs and eight kills for the night.

Immaculata travels to Cedar Crest on Saturday, Oct. 18, for a match at 12 p.m. with the Falcons.
