Macs Stay Mighty And Unbeaten In Conference; Immaculata In First Place

Junior Sean Fordham poured in 15 points to lead Immaculata University to a 76-59 victory over Marywood University in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Monday, January 21.  The Mighty Macs improve to 11-4 overall and 6-0 in the PAC and take over sole possession of first place.

Fordham scored all 15 of his points from beyond the arc as he went 5-7 from downtown. Senior Reggie Strickland added 11 points off the bench, while sophomore Jayson Hyman registered 10 points for Immaculata.  Sophomore Scott Marston collected eight points and six rebounds, while senior Kyle Finklea amassed six points, four assists and four rebounds.

Senior Dan Lepone netted nine points off the bench, while senior Rob Jones totaled six points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.  Junior Julius Lopez established a new career high with five assists.

Trailing 13-12 with 10:50 remaining in the first half, the Mighty Macs went on a 17-3 run to post a 29-16 lead with 5:27 left.  Immaculata never looked back as it took a 43-23 lead into halftime.

The Mighty Macs pushed their lead to a game-high 25 points, 69-44, en route to the 76-59 victory.

Jerome Gosney led the Pacers (6-8, 0-6) with 17 points, while Matthew Medici collected a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Immaculata returns to action on Thursday, January 24, when they host Neumann College.  Tip-off is set for 8 pm.
