Immaculata University men's soccer team defeated Albright College 3-1 to earn its first victory of the 2007 season on Wednesday, September 5, in Reading, Pennsylvania.
With the score tied at 1-1 freshman Kevin Glenn netted the game-winner at 65:27 off assists from junior Alan Lorentz and senior Kieran Keelan. Keelan also scored Immaculata's first goal at 52:41 off the foot of freshman Chris Conlan.
The Lions (0-2) scored the game's first goal at 13:12 when Chris Mignogna found the back of the net. Albright took a 1-0 lead into the intermission session.
Junior Bryan Foster added an unassisted insurance goal at 79:51.
Junior Jimmy Casper recorded six saves between the pipes for the Mighty Macs as head coach Mike Barr earned his first collegiate win. Joe Hartmann collected three saves for the Lions.
Both teams totaled eight shots, while Albright held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Immaculata (1-0) returns to action on Saturday, September 8, when they travel to face Ursinus College. Kick-off is set for 12 pm.
