Delaware Valley College Stuns Immaculata In Final Minutes

Trailing 3-1, Delaware Valley College scored three goals, including two in the final five minutes to upend Immaculata University in men's soccer action on Saturday, September 15, in Draper Walsh Stadium.

Jeremy Fennell tallied the unassisted game-winner at 87:17, after Eric Maciag scored off an indirect kick from Nathan Knight to tie the game 3-3 at 84:52.  Matt Dias netted a goal at 78:12 off a breakaway to pull Del Val to within 3-2.

After the Aggies scored the first goal of the game by Andrew Kelly at 7:36, freshman Kevin Glenn tied the contest at 1-1 off an assist from fellow freshman Chris Conlan at 17:27.  Junior Bryan Foster broke the tie with an unassisted tally at 39:06, while senior Kieran Keelan gave Immaculata a 3-1 halftime lead with a goal, from Glenn, at 42:11.

Junior Jimmy Casper and sophomore Stone Gahagan shared time between the pipes for the Mighty Macs as Gahagan suffered the loss.

Immaculata outshot Del Val 20-8 and held a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Mighty Macs (2-2) return to action on Monday, September 18, when they host Penn State - Berks.  Kick-off us set for 6:30 pm.
