Senior Robert Jones collected a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead Immaculata University to a 76-61 victory over Delaware Valley College in non-conference action on Saturday, December 8, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. In only their third year of existence the Mighty Macs (5-0) are off to their best start in team history.
Junior Kyle Finklea recorded 17 points, four assists and three steals, while sophomore Jayson Hyman grabbed 10 rebounds. Senior Reggie Strickland registered 10 points off the bench, while junior Julius Lopez went 3-5 from beyond the arc for nine points.
Trailing 13-12 with 12:06 left in the first half, Immaculata used a 12-4 run to grab a 24-17 lead with 6:43 remaining. The Mighty Macs took a 34-25 lead into halftime. The Aggies (0-8) were able to pull within seven points (42-35) with 11:43 left, but the Mighty Macs pulled away and held a game-high 18-point lead (63-45) with 3:04 left.
Matt Beichey led Del Val with 15 points and six rebounds, while Brian Hilinski added 10 points.
