Immaculata University men's soccer team stormed past Valley Forge Christian College 10-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday, October 3, in Draper Walsh Stadium.
Juniors Gio DeMartini and Dan Ventura each scored three goals, while freshman Chris Giorno added two goals as the Mighty Macs scored early and often. DeMartini recorded the first two goals of the game, while Ventura assisted on the second. Ventura registered his first goal off an assist from junior Alan Lorentz at 23:03. Giorno followed with a goal at 29:32 off a pass from junior Bryan Foster. DeMartini collected his third tally - unassisted - at 30:05.
Ventura (2) and Giorno collected the last three goals of the first half, as Immaculata built an 8-0 halftime lead. Freshman Nick Carmargo and junior Bobby DeYoung amassed the final two goals of the game off assists from juniors Alron Major and TJ Ulmer.
Sophomore goalkeeper Stone Gahagan and freshman goalkeeper Ryan Williams kept the Patriots off the board, while Williams garnered one save.
The Mighty Macs (6-5) return to action on Saturday, October 6, when they host Alvernia College. Kick-off is set for 2 pm.
