Misericordia Stops Immaculata's Unbeaten Streak

Immaculata University men's soccer team fell to Misericordia University 3-1, in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Saturday, October 13, in Dallas, PA.  The loss halts Immaculata's unbeaten streak at four games.

Joey Scanlon scored the first goal of the game at 10:30 off an assist from Colin Hynes.  Max Campbell provided the Cougars with a 2-0 halftime when he found the back of the net, unassisted, at 28:30.

Junior Alan Lorentz pulled the Mighty Macs to within one, 2-1, when he scored off a penalty kick at 68:00.  However, Misericordia added an insurance goal at 79:00 with a tally by Tyler Mensch off assists from Campbell and Hynes.

Sophomore goalkeeper Stone Gahgan collected 14 saves for Immaculata, while Andrew Loyd recorded three saves.

The Cougars outshot the Mighty Macs 21-4 and held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Immaculata (7-6-1, 2-3-1 PAC) returns to action on Wednesday, October 17, when they travel to face Eastern University.  Kick-off is set for 4 pm.
