Darnell Malabet from the men's basketball team picked up his first Mighty Mac of the Week honor on February 7. Malabet helped Immaculata to a 2-1 week in CSAC play, reaching double figures in all three contests last week.
Malabet hit a jumper from just inside the three-point arc as time expired to lift the Mighty Macs to a 62-60 win over Rosemont. Malabet finished with a team-leading 21 points against the Ravens on 5-for-7 three-point shooting and had three assists.
In Immaculata's only loss of the week to Cabrini, 70-67, Malabet added 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds. He also recorded 10 points and six steals in a win over Baptist Bible, 66-47.
Malabet finished the week 9-for-19 from three-point range (.474) and 14 of 31 from the field (.452). He averaged 14.7 points, six rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals during the week.
