Women's basketball sophomore Bridget Welz collected her second Mighty Mac of the Week honor on Monday, February 22, after being selected by the CSAC as its player of the week.
Welz recorded two double-doubles during a 2-1 week in the CSAC for Immaculata. Welz shot 54.8 percent from the field and was perfect from the foul line (12-for-12) in the three games as she helped Immaculata to wins against Rosemont and Gwynedd-Mercy.
The Flourtown, Pa., native put up game highs of 24 points and 16 rebounds against Rosemont, while adding four assists and six steals. Welz was 7 of 13 (.538) from the field and went 8 of 8 at the foul line against the Ravens. He other double-double came in a 76-59 win against Gwynedd-Mercy with 14 points and 12 rebounds. In the week's other contest, she recorded 10 points and four assists in a loss at Neumann.
