Larry Diehlman enters his second year with the Mighty Macs in 2026-27. He was hired on August 4, 2025. He works alongside Andy Alvarez in covering Immaculata's 22 teams.
In fall 2025, Diehlman assisted Sports Information Director Andy Alvarez in the launch of "Tuesday Talk - An Immaculata Athletics Podcast" (click
here to listen), a weekly podcast discussing the prior week and the week ahead in Immaculata athletics, and all things Mighty Macs. Alvarez and Diehlman serve as hosts, while former Immaculata student-athlete, and current sports information assistant, Connor Kakowksi serves as a co-host.
"We are excited to welcome Larry to the Immaculata University community," said Paul Murphy, Immaculata's Director of Athletics and Recreation. "His experience at the Division III and Division I levels helped hone his skillset, and we know he will do great things to promote our student-athletes and enhance the capabilities within our athletic department."
"I am excited to have the opportunity to work with Larry," said Andy Alvarez, Immaculata's Sports Information Director. "His work at both the Division I and the Division III levels will help us provide an exceptional experience for our Immaculata teams, student-athletes, and staff."
Prior to Immaculata, Diehlman was the Sports Communications Manager at Delaware State University, a DI university in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, in Dover, for the 2024-25 season. He was the media contact for women's soccer, equestrian, women's tennis, women's lacrosse, and baseball, and the secondary for football.
Diehlman started his sports information career as an Athletic Communications and Operations Assistant at Widener University, a DIII university in the Middle Atlantic Conference-Commonwealth, in Chester, Pa., from 2023-24. While at Widener, Diehlman was the primary media contact for men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, baseball, and women's lacrosse. The women's basketball team won the MAC Commonwealth championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2024. Diehlman was the SID liaison and traveled with them to Bates College in Lewiston, Maine for the first and second round of the tournament.
Diehlman graduated from Rowan University in Dec. 2022 with a B.A. in Sports Communication and Media and a B.A. in Journalism. In his undergraduate years, he was a disc jockey for Rowan Radio, 89.7 WGLS-FM, wrote for the school newspaper,
The Whit, and assisted Rowan Athletics as a student worker/game day cameraman. At
The Whit, Diehlman penned an original weekly NBA column entitled, "Diehlman at Halftime." The column lasted from early 2021 until summer 2023. In Oct. 2023, Diehlman launched a podcast version of the column, which has kept the same name. The podcast hit its 100th episode on May 4, 2026. The 2026-27 season will mark the fourth season.
Diehlman resides in Mantua, N.J.
