Gianna Cagliola

Gianna Cagliola joins the Immaculata University men's and women's cross country teams as an assistant coach for the 2026 season, bringing with her a strong background as a student-athlete and leader at the NCAA Division I level.

A 2026 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Cagliola was a four-year varsity member of the Panthers' cross country and track & field programs. During her collegiate career, she competed primarily in the 1,500-meter run and 3,000-meter steeplechase while contributing to Pitt's success on the conference and regional stages. She appeared in four ACC Cross Country Championships, one ACC Track & Field Championship, and two NCAA Regional Cross Country Championships.

Beyond competition, Cagliola served on Pitt's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and represented the university as an Atlantic Coast Conference SAAC delegate. Her dedication in the classroom matched her achievements on the course, earning Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic honors six times throughout her career.

Among her athletic accomplishments, Cagliola posted a personal-best 6K cross country time of 21:32 at the prestigious Paul Short Run during her senior season.

Cagliola is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and looks forward to mentoring student-athletes both competitively and personally as she begins her coaching career at Immaculata.
