Biography
Misc.: Joe starts his second season as a member of the men’s track & field team … Also a member of the men’s cross country team … Majoring in Business Management.
Outdoor 2018: Ran seven times in three different events as the only distance runner … Had his best mark of three attempts in the 1500 with a 4:51.27 at the Widener Invitational (4/21/18) … Placed 14th at the CSAC Championships (5/6/18) with a 4:51.40 … Had his best mark in the 5000 meter with a 19:19.01 to finish in 15th … Finished second at the Shippensburg Invitational (4/18/18) with a 20:17.95 … Finished ninth in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the CSAC Championships (5/6/18) with a time of 12:22.25 … Placed sixth in the same event at the Blue Jay Invitational (4/28/18) with a 12:27.20 … Member of the 2017-18 CSAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team.
Indoor 2017-18: Ran the distance races for IU, three times in the 3000 and once in the 5000 … Placed 35th in his only attempt at the 5000 at the Frank Colden Invitational (2/3/18) with a mark of 18:47.14 … Had his best mark in the 3000 of 10:48.82 at the Collegeville Classic (1/20/18) to place 22nd … Finished ninth at the Golden Bear Invitational (1/12/18) with mark of 11:24.53 and placed 10th at the Albright Invitational (2/10/18) with a 10:51.59.
High School: Ran four years of track & field and three years of cross country at Bishop McDevitt High School … Captain of the team for cross country and track & field his senior season … Named All-Catholic twice in cross country while going to the PIAA State Championship his junior and senior season in cross country … Went to the State Championship for the mile his junior season in track & field.
