Gianna Cagliola

Gianna Cagliola is in her first season as an assistant cross country coach in 2026, bringing with her a strong background as a student-athlete and leader at the NCAA Division I level.

A 2026 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Cagliola was a four-year varsity member of the Panthers' cross country and track & field programs. During her collegiate career, she competed primarily in the 1,500-meter run and 3,000-meter steeplechase while contributing to Pitt's success on the conference and regional stages. She appeared in four Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Cross Country Championships, one ACC Track & Field Championship, and two NCAA Regional Cross Country Championships.

Beyond competition, Cagliola served on Pitt's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and represented the university as an ACC SAAC delegate. Her dedication in the classroom matched her achievements on the course, earning ACC All-Academic honors six times throughout her career.

Among her athletic accomplishments, Cagliola posted a personal-best 6K cross country time of 21:32 at the prestigious Paul Short Run during her senior season.

Cagliola is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and looks forward to mentoring student-athletes both competitively and personally as she begins her coaching career at Immaculata.
