HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ARCADIA
- Despite an Elizabeth Mahmud caused turnover early in the game, the Knights got onto the board first not even a minute in. Arcadia would score seven of their goals in the first frame. Abigail Guarneri stood tall in goal with multiple saves, despite an aggressive offense from the visitors. Alexa Marczak caused two turnovers to give the Mighty Macs offensive possessions, but Immaculata's attempts did not get past Arcadia's goalie. The Knights led 7-0 after one.
- While Arcadia added two more scores in the second quarter, Immaculata stopped the overall run with an Aaliya Piperato man-up goal on a Vera Chapulin Paez dime. Guarneri saved a free-position shot before Izzie Thomas found the net with 20 seconds left. Although Mahmud took the next draw control and drove to the net, her shot was high. It was 11-2 at the half.
- The Knights extended their advantage in the third quarter. The Mighty Macs' defense continued to make solid plays, even though the offense was not able to cut into the lead. Both teams kept the score where it was with multiple turnovers by each side. After a successful clear, Arcadia took a shot to the house on a man-down situation. The Knights led 15-2 after three.
- With the score at 18-2 with under five minutes, Claire Dunfee checked in at goal for Guarneri. Mahmud grabbed the draw control, and Marczak put one more goal in the net for Immaculata; Thomas had the assist. Arcadia took the game 18-3.
