TYSONS, Va.- The Immaculata baseball team continued its Atlantic East Conference opening series, travelling to Tysons, Virginia, for a doubleheader today. Immaculata earned a split, winning game one 10-3, before falling 7-2 in the nightcap.

Immaculata falls to 4-10 overall, and is now 1-2 in Atlantic East Conference play, while Marymount is now 10-6 overall and is 2-1 in Atlantic East Conference play.

Game One: Immaculata 10, Marymount 3 (7 Innings)

Immaculata came out and built a big early lead and never let Marymount back into the game. Strong hitting from the top and middle of the lineup, plus steady pitching from DeSarno, sealed the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MARYMOUNT IN GAME ONE
- The Mighty Macs wasted no time setting the tone, striking for two runs in the opening inning. After a pair of baserunners reached, JT Luther laced a triple down the left-field line to bring home both runs and give Immaculata an early advantage it would not relinquish.
- Immaculata continued to apply pressure in the third. Robert Woodward led off with a double before Danny Nocito drove him in with a double of his own. Later in the frame, Nick Turnage added an RBI single to extend the lead to 4–1.
- The Mighty Macs broke the game open in the fourth inning with three more runs. Woodward delivered again with a two-run double, and Nocito followed with another RBI double to push the margin to 7–1.
- Immaculata would add on three runs in the top of the seventh.
- Marymount scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh, before Immaculata closed out the win 10-3 in the seven-inning game.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Thomas DeSarno earned the win, improving to 2–1 on the season. The right-hander worked 6.1 innings, allowing three runs (two earned) while striking out five.
- Aidan Jackson closed out the final two outs, striking out both batters he faced.
- Nocito paced the attack with a perfect 4-for-4 day, scoring twice and driving in two runs while adding a stolen base.
- Woodward finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored, and two RBI.
- Joey Ditta chipped in two hits and two RBI, and JT Luther added three RBI.

Game Two: Marymount 7, Immaculata 2

Immaculata dropped the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, falling 7–2 to Marymount (Va.) at Capital One Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MARYMOUNT IN GAME TWO
- After four scoreless innings to open the game, Marymount broke through in the second, using a pair of walks and timely hitting to take a 2–0 lead.
- Immaculata responded in the fifth, taking advantage of free passes to even the score. Alex Tronosky sparked the rally with a walk and a stolen base, while Robert Woodward was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring in a run. Danny Nocito followed with a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 2–2.
- The Saints answered immediately in the bottom half of the inning, capitalizing on control issues and hit-by-pitches to plate three runs and regain a 5–2 advantage. Marymount added single runs in the sixth and eighth innings to extend the lead.
- Marymount would go on to close out the win 7-2.
