Women’s Swimming Set for Senior Day vs. Arcadia on Saturday

WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata women's swimming team (5-6, 2-3 AEC) returns to the Alumnae Hall Pool for their final home meet, and their regular season finale against Arcadia at 1 p.m.
  • Saturday is Senior Day and the women's swimming team will honor seniors Liz Ferguson and Bella Hernandez prior to the meet.
  • Immaculata enters Saturday after competing in a quad meet at Widener on Wednesday, earning a 107-75 win over Lebanon Valley, but falling to Bryn Mawr and the host Widener.
  • Arcadia (2-9, 2-4 MAC Freedom) enters Saturday after defeating Widener 145.5—116.5 on January 16.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Saturday will be the fifth meeting between Immaculata and Arcadia in a series that began in 2019.
  • Immaculata is 0-4 all-time vs Arcadia.

MIGHTY MAC NOTES
  • Ashley Batejan is coming off a strong quad-meet performance, Batejan recorded second place finishes in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.31) and the 100-yard freestyle (58.15). She also helped the Mighty Macs place third in the 200-yard medley relay.
  • Delanie McPeak displayed her versatility with a third-place finish in the 200-yard IM (2:35.16) and a fifth-place effort in the 1000-yard freestyle (13:04.44). She continues to be a key contributor in distance and individual medley events.
  • Keira Wiley had an impressive meet, earning second place in the 100-yard butterfly (1:06.16) and third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:55.67). She also swam on the third-place medley relay squad.
  • Hannah Barber placed fifth in the 50-yard freestyle (28.23) and sixth in the 100-yard freestyle (1:02.22), while also contributing to the 200-yard medley relay.
  • Rebecca Ambrose added depth across multiple events, finishing sixth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:23.20) and eighth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:16.65), along with relay appearances.
  • Liz Ferguson competed in both individual and relay events, including a ninth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:28.06). The senior will be honored on Senior Day prior to the meet.
  • Bella Hernandez raced in sprint freestyle events and relays and will also be recognized on Senior Day as one of the program's seniors.
  • Ava McEntire posted an eighth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (9:04.50) and contributed to the 200-yard freestyle relay.
  • Maura Hambleton competed in the distance freestyle, placing sixth in the 1000-yard freestyle (15:08.36).
  • Emilee Rible finished 10th in the 50-yard freestyle (30.93) and swam in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
  • Jenna Bozzo recorded a 12th-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:53.40) and competed in relay action.
 
UP NEXT
  • The Immaculata women's swimming team will be back in action from February 12-15 when they travel to St. Mary's College of Maryland for the Atlantic East Conference Swimming Championships in St. Mary's, Md.
