WINCHESTER, Va.- The Immaculata softball team was defeated twice by first-seeded Marymount twice on Saturday afternoon in the Atlantic East Conference Championship. Immaculata fell in game one 4-2, and 8-0 in game two. Marymount captured the AEC Championship and the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Lily Hagan (Egg Harbor Township, N.J. / Holy Spirit) was named the Atlantic East Conference Elite 20 Award winner. The Elite 20 Award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East's 20 team championships. The student athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and in his or her second year of competition at their current institution in any sport.
Game One: Marymount 4, Immaculata 2
How it Happened
- Immaculata took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning when Maddy Formica hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Steph Kelly.
- Marymount tied the score in the fourth inning on an RBI single.
- Marymount scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning with an RBI triple and an RBI single to take 3-1 lead.
- Marymount held on to force a winner to take all second game of the finals.

Game Two: Marymount 8, Immaculata 0 (5 Innings)
How it Happened
- Marymount opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with an RBI double down the left field line to take a 1-0 lead.
- Marymount took advantage of some Immaculata miscues to break the game open in the bottom of the third inning scoring five times to take a 6-0 lead.
- Marymount closed out the game in the bottom of the fifth inning, scoring twice including the game ender on a sacrifice bunt to win 8-0.

Final Notes
- Immaculata completes their season as the Atlantic East Conference Runner Up going 16-24 over the, they went 5-5 in Atlantic East Conference regular season play and were 2-2 in the AEC Tournament. This Immaculata's first appearance in the AEC Tournament since 2022.
