HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – On Wednesday evening, the Immaculata University women's lacrosse team concluded their 2025 season with a 16-7 win over Centenary University. The Mighty Macs outscored the Cyclones by seven goals over the final thirty three minutes of play, a stretch that included two shorthanded goals. 

Scoring

• Jacki Murray netted seven goals and an assist during her eight point performance.
• Ava Hoffman had four goals and three helpers for a seven point game.
• Cara Strickland and Kelsey Caldarelli each had a pair of goals and an assist, while Alexa Marczak added one of each. 

Defensive

• Jacki Murray forced 3 caused turnovers, as Etoria Sellie, Bailee Neitz, Alexa Marczak, and Kelsey Caldarelli each had one. 
• Jacki Murray nabbed 7 ground balls, followed by Alexa Marczak with 6 and Ava Hoffman with 3. Addison Yackel, Carly Oberg, Etoria Sellie, and Kelsey Caldarelli had two ground balls. 
• Ava Hoffman had a game-high 7 draw controls, as Jacki Murray had 5 and Kelsey Caldarelli had 3.
• Abigail Guarneri claimed the winning decision, making 13 saves between the pipes.

How it Happened

• The Mighty Macs jumped out to an early 3-0 lead behind goals from Jacki Murray, Ava Hoffman, and Alexa Marczak.
• Centenary got on the board midway through the first, as Immaculata answered with their fourth goal just ten seconds later in-game.
• The teams traded goals to end the first quarter, as Immaculata led 6-2.
• Centenary netted two early scores in the second period, cutting IU's lead in half.
• Immaculata reclaimed a three goal advantage as Ava Hoffman scored a shorthanded goal late in the second. 
• The Mighty Macs entered the halftime break ahead 9-5 following Jacki Murray's fourth goal of the game. 
• Cara Strickland opened the second half scoring to give the Macs a five goal advantage.
• The Mighty Macs extended their edge to 12-6 with third quarter scores from Murray and Hoffman.
• Immaculata outscored Centenary 4-1 in the final quarter, as Cara Strickland, Kelsey Caldarelli, and Jacki Murray found the back of the net.
