IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team was back in action on Saturday as the hosted Alvernia at Draper Walsh Stadium, falling 13-9.
Jacki Murray scored six goals, and
Cara Strickland score two goals, and
Alexa Marczak had one goal. Goalkeeper
Abigail Guarneri had 11 saves for Immaculata, and
Addison Yackel had game highs in ground balls with seven and caused turnovers with four.
With the loss Immaculata falls to 1-6 overall, and with the win Alvernia improves to 1-5 overall.
Scoring
-Jacki Murray scored six goals giving her 23 goals for the season.
Cara Strickland scored two goals, her second and third of the season, and
Alexa Marczak scored her third goal of the season.

How it Happened
- Jacki Murray opened the scoring at 14:13 of the first quarter with an unassisted goal. After Alvernia tied the game at 1-1 Jacki Murray scored on Immaculata's lone free position attempt to make the score 2-1 at 13:07 of the first quarter. The first quarter would end with Immaculata trailing 5-2.
- Â Cara Strickland scored at 8:51 of the second quarter to cut the Alvernia lead to 6-3. Alexa Marczak scored at 1:37 of the second quarter to cut the lead to 7-4. Alvernia led at halftime 7-4.
- Alvernia opened the scoring in the second half, before Cara Strickland scored her second goal of the game at 7:57 to make the score 8-5. Jacki Murray scored her third goal of the game at 6:11 to cut the lead to 9-6.
- In the fourth quarter, Jacki Murray scored her fourth goal of the game at 12:50, her fifth goa of the game at 9:36, and her sixth goal of the game at 7:15.
- Alvernia would go on to close out the win 13-9.
