Immaculata Baseball Falls to Webster on Monday, 9-6

DAVENPORT, Fla.- The Immaculata baseball team fell to Webster 9-6 on Monday morning in their third game at the RussMatt Invitational. Steven Theisen was 3-4, and Sal Serici and Joey Steff each drove in two runs for Immaculata. With the loss Immaculata falls to 1-8 overall, and with the win Webster improves to 7-5 overall.

How it Happened
  • Webster wasted little time getting things going, scoring five runs in the top of the first inning, and followed with four more in the top of the second inning to take a 9-0 lead.
  • That would be all the scoring for Webster in the ball game, as Alexander Singer held Webster scoreless over the final six innings.
  • In the bottom of the sixth inning, Immaculata got on the board. Sal Serici doubled to right field, scoring Kristian Saucedo, and Will Kelley. Blake Schantz singled to right field scoring Sal Serici. Robert Woodward drew a bases loaded walk to score Stevn Theisen, and Joey Steff singled to centerfield to score Woodward and Nick Turnage to cut the Webster lead 9-6.
  • Webster was able to close out the win 9-6.
