WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Immaculata women's swimming team earned a comfortable win against Gallaudet University on Saturday, winning the meet by seventy six points. The Mighty Macs reshuffled their group as many swimmers tried new events on the afternoon. Immaculata's new look lineup took first place in every individual event while splitting the team relays.

How it Happened
Keira Wiley and
Jess Callahan kicked off the 1000-yard Freestyle, a new event for both athletes. Wiley took first with a time of 12:26.06 as Callahan placed third, touching the wall at 18:00.82.Â
Immaculata placed first and third again in the 200-yard Freestyle, as
Jess Kiederling and
Valeska Buestan tried their hand at the event. Kiederling clocked a 2:40.92 while Buestan swam a 3:39.09.
Three Mighty Macs competed and placed personal bests in the 50-yard Freestyle.
Ashley Batejan (28.02) won the event and etched a new PB by 0.01 seconds, as
Liz Ferguson (30.31) took second place in her 50 Free debut, and
Ava McEntire (42.24) took fifth with a 1.64 second PB.
Delanie McPeak and
Joella Moyer placed first and second in the 200-yard Individual Medley, as McPeak was timed at 2:34.37 and Moyer clocked 2:39.53.
Rebecca Ambrose won the 100-yard Butterfly, touching the wall at 1:12.47.
Ashley Batejan,
Jess Kiederling, and
Valeska Buestan claimed the top three places in the 100-yard Freestyle. Batejan swam a 1:00.54, followed by Kiederling's 1:13.42 and Buestan's 1:37.38.
Delanie McPeak (1:09.84),
Keira Wiley (1:12.52), and
Ava McEntire (2:04.92) placed first, second, and fifth in the 100-yard Backstroke. McPeak and Wiley each set de facto PBs in their event debut.
Jess Kiederling and
Jess Callahan earned first and second in the 500-yard Freestyle. Kiederling led the four-swimmer field with a 7:23.68 while Callahan's second-place 8:29.97 clipped her previous PB by 0.14 seconds.
Liz Ferguson and
Joella Moyer claimed the top two spots in the 100-yard Breastroke. Ferguson set a new PB of 1:21.75 as Moyer's first event appearance gave her a PB of 1:23.23.
