WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Immaculata men's swimming team earned their third win of the season, defeating Gallaudet University 85-61 on Saturday afternoon. The Mighty Macs tried some swimmers in new events, yet all five won an event in their meet against the Bison. The Mighty Macs now hold a 2-2 record against Atlantic East Conference opponents.

How it Happened
Immaculata split relays with Gallaudet, as the Mighty Macs took the 200-yard Freestyle with a lineup of
Gabriel Bocaj,
Lucas Lau,
Aidan Gall, and
Mike DeMattei clocking 1:45.98.
Lucas Lau led off the men's individual events, taking first in the 1000-yard Freestyle (13:20.16).
Gabriel Bocaj won the the 200 yard Freestyle, touching the wall at 1:54.32 and setting a new personal best.
Zach Crawford (23.87),
Lucas Lau (26.60), and
Aidan Gall (30.52) took first, second, and third in a field of six entrants in the 50-yard Freestyle. In the event, Crawford beat previous PB of 24.81 by 0.94 seconds while Gall took 0.04 seconds off his.
Mike DeMattei shaved two seconds off his personal best in the 200-yard Individual Medley, winning the event in 2:14.01.
Gabriel Bocaj assumed first place in the 100-yard Butterfly, timed at 58.54.
Zach Crawford and
Mike DeMattei outpaced a field of five to take first and second place in the 100-yard Freestyle. Crawford (52.50) beat his previous PB by half a second as DeMattei (53.62) raced the event for the first time.
Aidan Gall handedly won the 500-yard Freestyle, touching the wall in 6:52.02.

Immaculata men's swimming has one final dual meet at Arcadia on Saturday, January 25th. They'll hit the water against the Knights at 1pm.
Following next Saturday's meet in Glenside, The Mighty Macs' four-day Atlantic East Conference Championship meet will run Thursday, February 13th through Sunday, February 16th in St. Mary's City, Maryland.
