THE STORYLINE 

• The Immaculata Men's and Women's Swimming Teams will be back in the pool on Saturday, when they travel to Washington D.C. to compete in an AEC dual meet at Gallaudet. 

• The Immaculata Men's Team (2-5, 1-2 AEC) enters Saturday's meet after earning a split in their AEC Tri-Meet at Marywood, defeating Marywood, while falling to Marymount. 

• The Immaculata Women's Team (2-7, 1-3 AEC) enters Saturday's meet after falling to both Marywood and Marymount in their AEC Tri-Meet last Saturday. 

• The Gallaudet Men's Team (0-8, 0-3 AEC) is back in action for the first time since falling to Chowan and Virginia Wesleyan on 11/16. 

• The Gallaudet Women's Team (1-8, 0-4 AEC) is back in action for the first time since falling to Hollins on 12/7. 

THE SERIES HISTORY 

• Immaculata and Gallaudet are meeting for the fourth time in their series that began in 2021. 

• The Immaculata Men's Team is 2-1 all-time vs Gallaudet. 

• The Immaculata Women's Team is 3-0 all-time vs Gallaudet. 

LAST MEETING 

• The Immaculata Men's Team defeated Gallaudet 116-39 in their last meeting on 11/17/2023. 

• The Immaculata Women's Team defeated Gallaudet 121-45 in their last meeting on 11/17/2023. 

MIGHTY MAC MEN'S NOTES 

In last weekend's Tri-Match: 

• In the 200-yard freestyle, Gabriel Bocaj earned a third-place finish (1:54.39), as Aidan Gall placed sixth (2:32.11) 

• In the 100-yard backstroke, Mike DeMattei took fourth place (1:01.47) while Zach Crawford took sixth (1:03.60) 

• Three Mighty Macs competed in the 50-yard freestyle, as Zach Crawford finished third (24.81), Lucas Lau finished sixth (26.40), and Aidan Gall finished eighth (30.73). 

• Lucas Lau and Aidan Gall also competed in the 100-yard freestyle, with Lau placing fifth (1:00.96) and Gall seventh (1:08.82). 

• Gabriel Bocaj earned his second top-3 finish of the day as he placed third in the 100-yard butterfly behind a time of 56.69. 

• Mike DeMattei competed in the final individual event, placing third with a time of 4:51.78. 

MIGHTY MAC WOMEN'S NOTES 

In last weekend's Tri-Match: 

• In the 200-yard freestyle, Liz Ferguson took fifth, touching the wall in 2:19.54. 

• Joella Moyer, Valeska Buestan, and Ava McEntire each competed in the 100-yard backstroke. Moyer finished fourth place with a time of 1:11.79, Buestan took seventh with a 1:49.32, and McEntire placed eighth with a time of 1:59.79. 

• Delanie McPeak claimed second place in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing at 1:18.00, followed by Liz Ferguson in fifth with a 1:22.33, and Jess Callahan in seventh at 1:51.34. 

• Ashley Batejan earned third in the 50-yard freestyle (28.03) as Joella Moyer finished fifth (29.90) 

• Three Mighty Macs competed in the 100-yard freestyle, as Jess Callahan finished fifth (1:28.69), Valeska Buestan placed sixth (1:36.74), and Ava McEntire finished seventh (2:01.87). 

• Ashley Batejan sported a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:34.64. 

• Liz Ferguson earned second in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking a 6:13.94, while Jess Callahan took fourth with an 8:30.11. 

• Delanie McPeak posted another second-place finish in the 400-yard individual medley, timed at 5:14.47. 

WEEKLY HONORS 

• Delanie McPeak was named to the Atlantic East Conference Women's Swimming Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. 

• Gabriel Bocaj was named to the Atlantic East Conference Men's Swimming Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. 

UP NEXT 

• The Immaculata Men's and Women's Swimming Teams will be back in action on Saturday, January 25th when they visit Arcadia for a dual non-conference meet. That will be the final regular season meet for Immaculata. 

• Immaculata will travel to St. Mary's City, Maryland to compete in the Atlantic East Conference Swimming Championships hosted by St. Mary's college of Maryland, February 13-16.
