MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.- The Immaculata University softball team ended their stay at the Fast Pitch Dreams Classic dropping their final two games in the event. Immaculata ended a productive week in Myrtle Beach going 4-4 during the event.
Game One: Albion College 4, Immaculata 1
Immaculata opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning.
Rylee Martin doubled to center field, and advanced to third on a passed ball. Martin would score on a sacrifice fly by
Jess Oldham to put Immaculata up 1-0.
Albion would score a pair of runs in the top of the third, and single runs in the fifth, and sixth innings to take the game 4-1.
Bryele Anthony,
Rylee Martin, and
Jess Oldham all had hits for Immaculata.
Nadia Bhuiyan (1-1) took the loss on the mound pitching 4.2 innings, allowing seven hits, three runs, one earned on the day.
Game Two: Penn State Monto Alto 8, Immaculata 0
Penn State Monto Alto scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the early 2-0 lead. The followed up with six runs in the bottom of the second inning to extend their lead to 8-0.
In the top of the fourth inning, Immaculata threatened to score when
Peyton McGowan singled to center, and advanced to third on a double by
Carlee Karcher with two outs. Immaculata was unable to score in that inning.
In the bottom of the fourth with one out,
Bryele Anthony caught a fly ball in center field, and threw out the runner trying to score from third for an inning ending double play.
Penn State Monto Alto would close the 8-0 after five innings.
Emma Mercadante (1-2) took the loss on the mound for Immaculata.

th when they visit Penn State Abington for a doubleheader at 3:00 PM.
