IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata baseball team fell to Hood College by a score of 11-8 in this afternoon's non-conference matchup at the Immaculata Baseball Stadium.

Hood jumped out to a 6-0 lead by the 5
th inning and never looked back. Immaculata got on the board in the bottom half of the fifth to drive in
Shawn Haut. In the top of the 6
th inning, the Blazers would stretch their lead to 8-1.

Immaculata would put up a five spot in the bottom half of the frame, with
Matt Passerini drawing a bases loaded walk to score
Joey Sacco. Haut would double in two, in
Sal Serici and Scott Digerolamo. Crowding would add a sacrifice fly to bring home Passerini. The Mighty Macs would score another on a Blazers error.

In the 8
th, Hood would extend their lead to 11-6. The Mighty Macs would not go down without a fight, as
Joey Wright delivered an RBI triple, and Crowding drove him in with an RBI groundout.
Crowding led Immaculata at the plate, going 3-4 with 3 RBIs on the day.

The Immaculata pitching staff battled all day, surrendering four earned runs while striking out seven.

The Immaculata baseball team is back in action at the Immaculata Baseball Stadium on Friday, March 15
th with a 3:30 PM contest with Ursinus College.
