ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.- The program records continued to fall for the Immaculata University men's swimming team on the third day of the Atlantic East Swimming Championships. Immaculata is in fifth place with 82 points.
Marymount is in first place with 305 points. St. Mary's is in second place with 255 points. Cabrini is in third place with 123. Marywood is in fourth place with 86 points. Immaculata is in fifth place with 82 points. Gallaudet is in sixth place with 63 points.
Immaculata Results
In the 100-yard butterfly, Daniel Thiel finished 9th with a time of 1:08.87. His preliminary time was 1:07.32.
In the men's 200-yard freestyle, Gabriel Bocaj finished 7th with a time of 1:48.17. In the preliminary round Bocaj set an IU program record with a time of 1:47.75.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, Christian Batley finished 8th breaking his own IU program record with a time of 1:05.36. Batley had previously set the record earlier in the preliminary round with a time of 1:07.47. Marchello Barile finished 13th with a personal best time of 1:16.70.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Antonio Antonelli finished 5th with a time of 57.21. In the preliminary round, he had a personal best time of 57.06. Jeremy Brown finished 10th with a time of 1:05.35. His preliminary time of 1:05.18.
In the 400-yard medley relay, the team of Antonio Antonelli, Christian Batley, Gabriel Bocaj, and Nicky Antonelli won a bronze medal with a time of 3:53.88.
