IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata baseball team swept their Atlantic East Conference opening series with Gwynedd Mercy University with a 3-2 win in game 3 this afternoon.

Stephen DiBatista was excellent on the mound for the Mighty Macs. Going 5.1 innings and keeping the Griffins offense off balance. He racked up four strikeouts while limiting base runners, only allowing one unearned run.

The trio of
Derek Andrada,
Mason Keller and
Trevor Wagner were shut down for the Macs out of the bullpen. In 3.2 innings of work out of the three, they combined for seven strikeouts and only two hits allowed. Wagner would pick up the save in the contest.

Kristian Saucedo supplied the offense, driving in
Justin Klemick and
Jay Lawrence to give the Mighty Macs a 2-0 lead in the second inning.
Joey Sacco would drive in the eventual winning run with his 3
rd inning RBI groundout to plate Theisen.
Ryan Struble would go 2-3 on the day as well.

 The Immaculata baseball team is back in action on Tuesday, April 4
th when they take a break from Atlantic East Conference play to travel to The College of New Jersey for a 3:30 Pm start time.
