WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Immaculata women's swimming team returned to action today when they travelled to Washington D.C. for a dual meet with Gallaudet University. The Mighty Macs won nine events on their way to defeating Gallaudet 121-41.
The Mighty Macs got the day started in the 200-yard medley relay with the team of
Colleen Blakelock,
Kaitlynne Chenard,
Joella Moyer, and
Emily Stroble taking first place with a time of 2:14.60.
In the 1,000-yard freestyle Jessica Kierderling took first place with a time of 15:09.64. In the 200-yard freestyle
Emily Meyer finished first place with a time of 2:23.03. In the 50-yard freestyle
Maya Schilp finished second with a time of 30.79,
Bella Hernandez finished third with a time of 31.57, and
Athena Kritikson finished fourth with a time of 33.30
In the 200-yard individual medley
Kaitlynne Chenard finished first with a time of 2:52.84. In the 100-yard butterfly Immaculata took fist and second with
Emily Stroble finishing in first with a time of 1:17.59 and
Madeline Casale finishing second place with a time of 1:18.56.
In the 100-yard freestyle
Maya Schilp finished second place with a time of 1:12.94.
Breanna Kratz finished third with a time of 1:14.18 and
Bella Hernandez finished fourth with a time of 1:15.77.
In the 100-yard backstroke
Colleen Blakelock took first place with a time of 1:07.80,
Joella Moyer took second place with a personal best time of 1:09.56, and
Athena Kritikson took third with a time of 1:28.21.
Emily Meyer took first place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:24.32.
In the 100-yard breaststroke
Kaitlynne Chenard took first place with a personal best time of 1:28.29, and
Maya Schilp took third place with a time of 1:41.97.
In the final event of the day the 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Joella Moyer,
Emily Meyer,
Emily Stroble, and
Colleen Blakelock finished first with a time of 2:00.73.
The Immaculata women's swimming team will be back in action on Saturday, January 21st  when they travel to Marymount University for a tri-meet with Marymount and St. Mary's College of Maryland at 1:00 PM.
