IMMACULATA, Pa. - A fourth quarter rally was not enough as the Immaculata women's lacrosse team dropped its Atlantic East Semifinal matchup against Cabrini 25-9 on Wednesday afternoon.

After finding themselves down 2-0 early, Tessa Liberatoscioli got the Mighty Macs on the board, scoring on a free position six minutes into the contest. Liberatoscioli later scored a second goal on the first quarter while the Cavaliers scored eight additional goals to claim a 10-2 lead over the Mighty Macs after the first quarter.

The Mighty Macs were then kept scoreless in the second quarter as the Cavaliers extended their lead to 19-2 going into the half.

The Mighty Macs did not score again until 40 seconds into the fourth quarter, when Liberatoscioli scored her third goal of the day. Liberatoscioli's goal was the first of a 7-2 run in favor of the Mighty Macs spanning the remainder of contest. The run would not be enough, however, as the Macs fell to the Cavaliers 25-9.

Overall, Liberatoscioli led the Macs on the contest, scoring five goals and recording two assists. Jackie Murray, meanwhile, recorded a hat trick of her own with three goals while Ashley Hankin scored one goal and recorded one assist Liza Laxton also aided the Macs offensively on the game with two assists.

The Mighty Macs now conclude their 2022 season with a 2-3 record in conference play and a 7-10 overall record, having made their first conference semifinal appearance since 2018.
