WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Immaculata men's swimming team won their dual meet against Galluadet on Saturday by a score of 119-114.
The men's 200-yard medley relay team started the day with a first-place finish for Immaculata.
Gabriel Bocaj,
Jeremy Brown,
Daniel Thiel, and
John Batley swam a combined 2:00.08 time. Meanwhile, Thiel and Batley were joined by
William Lorenzo and
Kevin Lyons in the 200-yard freestyle relay, placing first with a time of 1:42.69.
Brown then placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time 12:36.54. The next event was the 200-yard freestyle in which Lorenzo placed third for the Mighty Macs with a time 2:31.25. Lyons, meanwhile, earned first place in the 50-yard backstroke with a 30.91 finish.
Bocaj then earned a first-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 31.43. Thiel also swam the 50-breast, finishing in third with a time 39.94. Batley then earned a first-place finish 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.97.
Lyons and Brown then earned first and second in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in times of 23.78 and 27.67, respectively. Bocaj then finished in first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.54. Lorenzo earned second on the event, finishing with a time of 1:03.70.
Brown and Thiel then represented the Macs in the 100-yard backstroke. Brown finished in first with a time of 1:12.38 while Thiel finished second with a time of 1:17.24. Batley then earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09.89.
In the 500-yard freestyle, Lyons earned a second-place finish with a time of 5:56.49. Lorenzo then earned second in the 50-yard butterfly, finishing with a time of 36.04. Bocaj then concluded the day for the Macs with a second-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:07.33.
The Mighty Macs will return to action next Friday as they face Widener in a dual-meet.
