BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Immaculata women's swimming team dropped their tri-meet against Bryn Mawr and Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon. The Macs lost 125-64 versus Bryn Mawr while dropping 122-79 against Lebanon Valley.
The Macs started off the day placing fifth in the 400-yard medley relay. The team of
Joella Moyer,
Kathryn DeHaven,
Breanna Kratz, and
Cameron Gleason finished the medley with a time of 5:01.59.
Colleen Blakelock and
Jessica Kiederling then competed in the 1000-yard freestyle for Immaculata, finishing in third and fifth with respective times of 12:57.29 and 14:20.34.
Emily Stroble,
Emily Meyer, and
Courtnee Gallo then earned third, sixth, and ninth place respectively in the 200-yard freestyle. Each swimmer recorded new personal records on the event with times of 2:19.05, 2:19.56, and 2:41.99, respectively.
Gleason and Meyer were joined by
Maya Schilp and
Cassandra Thiel in the 50-yard freestyle. Gleason finished in forth with a time of 28.91, a new personal best. Peyer then earned seventh with a personal best 29.59 finish while Schilp recorded a 30.93 finish in ninth. Thiel closed out the event with a new personal best time of 41.03 in 13
th place.
Kratz and DeHaven then represented the Macs in the 200-yard individual medley. Kratz finished in seventh with a time of 2:47.72 while DeHaven finished in ninth with a time of 3:01.34. Moyer and Stroble then earned fifth and sixth place respectively in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing with times of 1:09.60 and 1:13.61. Moyer's time was good for a new personal record.
Mary Grace MacDonald, Kiederling, Schilp, and Thiel were next to compete in the 100-yard freestyle. The swimmers earned fifth, sixth, 10
th, and 12
th place, respectively with respective times of 1:05.42, 1:07.53, 1:10.71, and 1:29.29. Kiederling, Schilp, and Thiel each recorded personal records on the event.
Blakelock and Gleason then competed in the 100-yard backstroke earning third and sixth place with respective finishes of 1:07.54 and 1:12.67. Gleason earned a new personal record on the event. Meyer and DeHaven then swam in the 500-yard freestyle, placing fourth and sixth with respective finishes of 6:19.63 and 7:03.16. MacDonald, Kratz, and Gallo concluded the individual events for Immaculata, placing third, fifth, and seventh, respectively in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:25.53, 1:28.43, and 1:40.99. MacDonald and Kratz earned new personal records on the event.
The day was then concluded for the Macs in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The Macs had two teams enter, placing second and fourth, respectively. Placing second for Immaculata was Strobel, Blakelock, Moyer, and MacDonald with a time of 1:56.19 while Kiederling, Schilp, Thiel, and Gallo finished with a 2:14.96 time.
The Mighty Macs have concluded the 2021 portion of their schedule. The Macs will return to action on Saturday, January 8
th as they travel to a tri-meet versus Hood and McDaniel.
