BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Immaculata men's swimming team lost their dual meet against Lebanon Valley on Saturday 110-79.
The Macs' 400-yard medley relay team of
Jeremy Brown,
William Lorenzo,
Daniel Thiel, and
Marchello Barile kicked off the day with a third place finish, finishing with a time of 5:04.46.
Brown then won the 1000-yard freestyle for the Macs, finishing with a time of 12:45.63.
Kevin Lyons was next to compete for the Macs in the 200-yard freestyle, placing second with a time of 2:02.78.
Gabriel Bocaj and Barile then competed in the 50-yard freestyle, earning first and fifth place with respective times of 23.03 and 32.38.
Batley then won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:12.64. He also finished in second in the 100-yard butterfly with a 1:00.25 finish, good for a new personal record. Lyons and Lorenzo then competed in the 100-yard freestyle. Lyons finished in first with a time 55.52 while Lorenzo finished third with a time of 1:01.69, good for a new personal best.
Then, in the 100-yard backstroke, Batley finished in second with a time of 1:01.50 while Thiel finished fourth with a 1:16.44 time. Thiel recorded a new personal record on the event.
Bocaj then finished in first in the 500-yard freestyle, breaking the program record in the process with a time of 5:09.24.
Barile and Lorenzo competed in the 100-yard breaststroke to close out individual competition for Immaculata. The pair finished in fourth and fifth, respectively with respective finishes of 1:23.26 and 1:26.58. Lorenzo earned a new personal best on the event.
The Macs concluded the day with a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Brown, Lyons, Thiel and Bocaj swam a 1:40.60 in the event to secure the first-place finish.
The Mighty Macs have concluded the 2021 portion of their schedule. The Macs will return to action on Saturday, January 8
th as they travel to a tri-meet versus Hood and McDaniel.
