ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Colleen Blakelock,
Courtnee Gallo, and
Emily Meyer all broke personal records as the Immaculata women's swimming team competed in a quad meet at St. Mary's on Saturday.
The Mighty Macs 200-yard medley relay A team of
Joella Moyer,
Mary Grace MacDonald,
Colleen Blakelock, and
Breanna Kratz finished in sixth place with a time of 2:13.65. Meanwhile, the 200-yard medley B team finished in 7 with a time of 2:42.86. The 200-yard medley B team consisted of
Cassandra Thiel,
Maya Schilp,
Emily Meyer, and
Courtnee Gallo.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the Macs' A team of
Emily Stroble,
Cameron Gleason, Meyer, and Moyer finished in fifth with a time of 1:59.10. The B team of Kratz, Schip, Gallo, and DeHaven then finished in seventh with a time of 2:04.56.
Individually, DeHaven also competed in the 100-yard breaststroke, placing eighth overall while earning a new personal best time of 1:29.78. MacDonald finished in seventh on the event while Schilp finished behind DeHaven in ninth with times of 1:26.27 and 1:34.75. DeHaven was also joined in the 200-yard freestyle by Gleason. DeHaven finished in eighth with a time of 2:31.28 while Gleason finished in ninth with a time of 2:32.29.
Gleason also competed in the 100-yard backstroke alongside Blakelock and Moyer. Blakelock finished in fourth overall with a time of 1:07.97. Moyer and Gleason, meanwhile finished with respective times of 1:10.34 and 1:13.99 for finishes of 9
th and 11
th place. Blakelock then finished fifth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:32.03.
Stroble and Gallo competed in the 100-yard freestyle for the Mighty Macs. Stroble finished in eighth with a time of 1:06.13 while Gallo earned a new personal record with a time of 1:12.52 in 10
th place overall.
Stroble, joined by MacDonald and Thiel, also competed in the 50-yard freestyle. MacDonald finished in seventh while Stroble and Theil finished in eighth and 13
th with times of 29.72, 30.33, and 42.77, respectively.
Meyer earned the final personal record on the day for the Mighty Macs, placing fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:21.22.
Immaculata swimming is back at it next on Saturday, November 11
th. The Mighty Macs will travel to our nation's capital for a dual meet against Gallaudet University.
