FREDERICK, Md.- The Immaculata women's swimming team fell to Hood 144-34 in its return to action on Saturday afternoon.
Catherine Wiest placed second in 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 13:18.77. Breanna Kratz finished third in 200-yard freestyle with time of 2:25.80.
Maya Schilp recorded a career-best time of 31.36 to finish third in the 50-yard freestyle while Cassandra Thiel placed fifth in the event.
Elizabeth Herlihey finished runner-up in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:29.70. Kratz added another third-place finish with a time of 1:17.46 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Maya Schilp touched the wall in 1:17.22 in the 100-yard freestyle while Cassandra Thiel placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke.
Catherine Wiest and Kate Angelichio finished third and fourth respectively in the 500-yard freestyle as Elizabeth Herlihey rounded out the meet with a third-place showing in the 100-yard breaststroke
Immaculata will return to action on January 17 against Messiah for non-conference action.
