DOYLESTOWN, Pa.- Senior
Bailey Krewson picked a great time for a breakout performance on a chilly Wednesday afternoon as she netted six goals, a career high, to lead the Mighty Macs to their first win of the season, an 11-8 triumph over Delaware Valley (2-2). The Mighty Macs (1-2) blew open a tie game in the second half with five straight goals.
Krewson scored six times, junior

HOW IT HAPPENED
-This one started just like the last Mighty Mac contest as IU scored the first four goals, one by Cadden, one by Kennedy, and two from Krewson to stake the Macs to a 4-0 lead
-The IU defense was stout early on as they held the Aggies scoreless for the opening 15-plus minutes, but Del Val finally got on the board with two goals in a two-minute span to make it 4-2
-Kennedy scored on a helper from Wood, and after Del Val scored, Krewson scored for the third time on an assist from Cadden to put the Macs up 6-3 heading into halftime
-The Aggies started the second half like the Macs started the game, scoring the first three goals to tie things up at 6-6 and held IU scoreless for the first 15 minutes
-Krewson then went on a 3-0 spurt on her own, with an assist from sophomore
Maura Murray and two from Cadden, to push the lead back to three with nine minutes remaining
-Kennedy would add two more in the ensuing minutes to put IU comfortably in front before two late Del Val tallies
TEAM COMPARISON
-The game was tight statistically with the Macs holding edges in shots, 29-24, and shots on goal, 22-16
-The Macs forced 23 Del Val turnovers and had 20 themselves
-The Aggies held an 13-8 advantage in draw controls, and the Macs had a 21-16 edge in ground balls
