GLASSBORO, N.J. - Seventh-ranked Rowan struck for five funs in the in the first two innings Thursday afternoon to down the Immaculata University baseball team in a non-conference clash, 11-1.
Tyler Kmiec drove in the lone Mighty Mac run with a fifth-inning double while
Joey Sacco had a pair of hits and a run scored.
Brady Fidler tossed two scoreless innings of relief while limiting Rowan to one hit and striking out one.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Rowan struck first with two runs on a pair of run-scoring singles in the bottom of the first before tacking on three more in the second to jump out to a 5-0 lead.
-After adding a run in the third on a wild pitch, the hosts posted another three-run frame in the fourth to take control of the contest.
-Kmiec got Immaculata on the board in the top of the fifth when Sacco lined a leadoff single to center and came around to score on Kmiec's two-bagger to left-center, but the Macs stranded Kmiec at third and were unable to plate another run the rest of the way.
