Farrell Leads Men's Swimming vs Cabrini on Tuesday Evening

RADNOR, Pa.- The Immaculata men's swimming team returned to the pool on Tuesday evening for the final time in 2019 to face Atlantic East rival Cabrini. Immaculata turned in a number of strong performances but unfortunately Cabrini prevailed by a final of 110-54.

In the 1000-free, David Crowell registered a third-place finish with a time of 13 minutes and 5.48 seconds before capturing the 100 breast in a time of 1:16. Crowell was also a member of the winning 200-free relay team, which also included Joseph Duddy, Conor Farrell, and John Batley who combined for a time of 1:46.62 to record the victory for Immaculata.

William Lorenzo turned in a strong performance of his own in the 200-free with a time of 2:42 to finish in fourth before recording another fourth place showing in the 100-free with a time of 1:08.90.

In the 50-free, Duddy turned in a fourth place finish of his own in 26.96 seconds. Batley had a strong evening as well as he finished second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:13.68 before capturing the 100-breaststroke with a time of 58.82 seconds.
In the 100-fly, Farrell set a new program record with a time of 58.16 seconds to finish third overall in this event. Farrell followed this up with a victory in the 500-free with a time of 5:22.10, which is also a new program record for the Mighty Macs.

Immaculata will return to action on January 11 at Hood with that meet beginning at 2 p.m.
