Men's Swimming Falls to Widener

CHESTER, Pa.- The Immaculata University men's swimming team was back in action on Saturday afternoon in a dual meet against Widener. The Mighty Macs fell to the Pride 155-25 in the meet as several swimmers set new personal records.

Conor Farrell picked up a second-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle, setting a team record with a time of 11:26.59. Farrell added another second-place finish in the 50-meters with a time of 24.93. In the 200-yard breast stroke, Farrell placed fifth as he tallied 10 of the 25 team points for the Macs on the afternoon. He set personal records in all three events.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Jared Truett registered a time of 2:06.00 to place fifth. Truett's best performance was in the 100-yard freestyle as he clocked a 55.91 to place third. David Crowell and William Lorenzo placed fifth and sixth respectively in the event for Immaculata. 

Truett ended his afternoon with another third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke.

Crowell finished the 500-yard freestyle in 6:15.10 to place third as he added a fourth place showing in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:33.24, as all three marks were a personal-best.

Lorenzo added a fifth-place showing in the 50-yard freestyle after touching the wall in 29.54. Each Immaculata men's swimmer set at least two personal records on the afternoon.

Immaculata has its first conference meet on November 16 as the Macs travel to Marywood at 1 p.m.
