SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's swimming team opened up Atlantic East action on Saturday afternoon against Marywood and Marymount. The Might Macs fell to Marywood 201-34 and Marymount 188.5-37.5.
Catherine Wiest had the best finish on the afternoon and placed third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:21.91. She also placed fourth in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:56.46.
Kate Angelichio registered a personal best time of 1:16.25 in the 100-yard freestyle.
Angelichio placed seventh in the 200 free with another personal best of 2:50.83. Cassandra Thiel placed eighth in the event.
Breanna Kratz and Wiest placed sixth and seventh respectively in 100-yard backstroke.
Maya Schilp earned a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke after touching the wall in 1:46.34.
Schilp and Thiel sixth and seventh in 50-yard freestyle as Kratz had a time of 3:09.16 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Immaculata will be back in action on November 23 for a tri-meet against the Juniata and Bethany beginning at 2 p.m.
