Record Setting Season Comes To End In CSAC Semifinals

SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team saw their record setting 2018 season come to a close on Wednesday evening as they fell in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Semifinals to No. 2 Marywood, 21-7.

The loss saw the Macs season come to a close with a program-best record of 14-4, and the loss also snapped their 10-game win streak.

Sophomore Layne Kennedy finished off her impressive season with a team-high three points on two goals and one assist.

-The Macs then scored three of the next four with senior Hannah Verrecchia, Kennedy, and senior Nicole Dominick all getting on the board to trim the Marywood lead to 10-4, but the Pacers scored three in the final 75 seconds to take a 13-4 advantage to halftime
-Senior Rosemarie Reitman scored on a pass from Kennedy to start the second half, but the Pacers again had an answer with three in a row and a 16-5 lead before sophomore Molly Gallagher scored on a free position attempt with just under 18 minutes remaining
