Men's basketball sophomore guard Nelson Torres was chosen as the Mighty Mac of the Week for the period ending December 12 after averaging 19 points during a 2-1 week for the Mighty Macs.

Torres helped the Mighty Macs to a 2-1 overall and 1-0 CSAC record last week by providing the winning bucket in the closing seconds against both Centenary and Widener. The Marlton, N.J., native led the Mighty Macs in scoring during each of those two contests with 24 and 22 points, respectively..

Torres finished with 24 points against Centenary as Immaculata picked up its first win this season, 66-65. Torres sunk both of his free throws with 0.5 seconds left in the game to seal the win for Immaculata against Centenary.

Torres then provided the heroics against against Widener with a jumper with 14.6 seconds remaining to defeat the Pride, 70-68. Torres finished that contest with a game-high 22 points.

Torres rounded out the week with 11 points against Division II West Chester.
