Layne Kennedy was exceptional this week as she helped lead the Mighty Macs to their first victory of the season over Lancaster Bible on Saturday afternoon after nearly dethroning Moravian on Wednesday evening. On Wednesday evening, after a scoreless 33 minutes of play, Kennedy used an assist from Macy Greene to put the Mighty Macs out in front of their guests for the first time in 2019. Unfortunately, this marker was not enough to withstand a charge by the powerful Moravian offense in what was a 3-2 setback for the Mighty Macs. On Saturday afternoon, Kennedy notched bookend goals in the Macs victory over Lancaster Bible as she scored the first goal that would prove to be the game-winner just minutes into the match before adding her second tally of the afternoon in the 51^st minute to put the game out of reach. For the year, Kennedy now leads the team in both goals and points as she has registered three goals on the season for a total of six points. She will look to continue her hot streak and get the Mighty Macs on a winning streak on Wednesday afternoon on the road at Widener with that match set to begin at 7 p.m.
